Each season highlights a German legend in the here and now. We draw on legends that are internationally known beyond Germany's borders and place them in a socially relevant context for our times.
SEASON 1: THE LEGEND OF THE BLOCKSBERG takes viewers to the small town of Königstal at the foot of the Brocken mountain. It is full of strange characters, peculiarities and especially many women who put our understanding of family and trust to a hard test. Years ago, little boys were killed here in a bestial way. To this day, there is a man in prison for this, who claims that he did not commit the murders, but that he hunted down the women responsible, whom he believes to be witches. Every person in Königstal has something to hide and we open up the deepest abysses.

As You Know Me
How can Karla go on living when a large part of her lies in her arms in an urn? Reduced to a heap of ashes. When all she has left of her beloved sister Marie are memories.
She decides to fly from Franconia Germany to New York for her sister's flat clearance. In order to feel closer to her deceased sister, she puts on her clothes, gets involved in a relationship with the man her sister also slept with and, across the street, starts watching a woman who has photographed her sister countless times - eating, sleeping, having sex and finally being abused by her husband. The more Karla allows herself to be drawn into her sister's life, the more she feels that there are more secrets between them than shared stories.
